Amber is an educator in the Preschool room. She has been with us since July of 2009 after completing her practicum here. Amber loves working at OCCS because of her amazing team and work family as well as other fantastic benefits. As an educator, Amber really loves using every day as a learning experience not only for the children but for herself. She views herself as a life long learner. She really enjoys building lasting and meaningful relationships with the children and their families. In her spare time she loves to spend time with her family, go to the gym and take voice lessons. She loves getting outside and spending time in nature. Her favourite children’s books are Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown. She really enjoys the authors Dr. Seuss and Robert Munsch. She recently discovered a great series of children’s books called Elephant and Piggy. They are a very welcomed addition to her library. Something you may not know about Amber is that she has started taking voice lessons with her 12 year old daughter in 2015.
